The Position
Sproule ERCE is searching for a motivated team player to join our small growing team in Kuala Lumpur.
You’ll be part of our global business development team, helping with proposal and tender preparations, market analysis, sales pipeline maintenance and analysis, and creating sales and marketing materials. You will also support our Country Manager in Malaysia by taking responsibility for our Kuala Lumpur Office Administration. Business Development Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Engagement: Regularly monitor client and potential client procurement portals for bid opportunities, ensuring Sproule ERCE is at the forefront of new projects and collaborations.
- Proposal Development: Take an active role in crafting compelling proposals. This involves meticulous editing, formatting, and the management and compilation of materials, ensuring high-quality submissions.
- Client Portal Management: Maintain Sproule ERCE’s presence and registration within various client portals/systems, ensuring seamless access and participation in bid opportunities.
- CRM Administration: Assist in the effective administration of the Client Relationship Management (CRM) software, under the guidance of the business development team, to enhance client engagement strategies.
- Prepare and send contractor Call Off Addendum to engage Associates on active project work.
- Marketing: supporting marketing initiatives in coordination with corporate marketing, preparing material such as presentation, brochures, etc., in alignment with our brand and strategic objectives.
- Agreement Management: Proactively manage existing multi-year frame agreements to ensure timely tariff increases, renewals, and extensions, safeguarding Sproule ERCE’s interests and continuity of business.
- Administrative Documentation: Collaborate with Records Management to maintain an efficient and effective administrative documentation and filing system.
- Input weekly timesheets for contractors.
- Issue client call addendum when required.
Office Administrator Responsibilities
- Reception duties including organizing couriers, deliveries, taxis and transport.
- Liaise with building management and other contractors to facilitate the smooth running of the office including booking meeting rooms when required, maintenance checks, day to day fixings as required.
- Coordinate visitor experience.
- Maintain stationary, kitchen and any other required office supplies.
- Organise company events as required.
- Make staff travel arrangements for business trips and various other requirements.
- Participate in and monitor training and guidelines for health & safety, first aid and fire marshalling.
- Ad hoc administrative support for staff when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including good knowledge of English grammar.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Practices discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information and materials.
- Demonstrates a high degree of reliability and accountability.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
- Related experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with energy companies is a plus.
- Previous inside sales experience or experience supporting a business development team or preparing/presenting bid rounds for national companies or governments is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro.
- A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new software and applications.
