Western States Lodging and Management is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resource Team. This is a full-time, in-person role, working Monday through Friday during standard business hours. The position offers a starting salary of $85,000+ per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Position Overview As a Compensation Analyst, you will take ownership of the strategy, structure, and administration of company-wide compensation programs. Reporting directly to the Compensation and Benefits Manager, this role is key to ensuring our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives.
You’ll design and manage salary structures, job classifications, and pay-for-performance systems while also overseeing the annual compensation review cycle. You’ll conduct market benchmarking, advise leaders on job offers and pay adjustments, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards such as FLSA and the Equal Pay Act. You will also serve as a resource for employees and managers, offering education and support on compensation policies and philosophies.

What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in compensation strategy, analysis, and program design. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
You should be proficient in Excel and HRIS systems, have a strong understanding of compensation frameworks, and be able to communicate complex data clearly and effectively to a range of audiences. A high level of discretion, integrity, and collaboration is essential. A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is preferred.
