The person will install and manage databases, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, perform backups and recovery, and work closely with software developers to support applications. The role requires strong experience across multiple database platforms and the ability to work independently in a production environment.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and ensuring database security and availability. This role requires hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL/MariaDB environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems
- Ensure database security, stability, and high availability
- Define and enforce database standards and best practices
- Collaborate with application development teams on database design
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Troubleshoot database and system issues
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Support both Linux and Windows environments
- Create and maintain database documentation
- Ensure data integrity and business continuity
