  • Tune SQL queries, indexes, buffer pools, sort memory, locking, and log file configurations.
  • Analyze workloads and implement tuning strategies for OLTP and batch processing systems.
  • Manage backup strategies using DB2 Native Backup/Restore, incremental backups, and log management.
  • Configure and maintain HADR, TSA/TSAMP, and failover mechanisms.
  • Perform disaster recovery drills and maintain recovery runbooks.

  • Review and deploy database scripts through migration processes.
  • Participate in data modeling and provide guidance on normalization, partitioning, and indexing.
  • Automate administrative tasks using Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
  • Implement cron-based jobs or scheduler-based DB2 maintenance tasks.
  • Develop monitoring scripts for space usage, locking, and long-running transactions.
  • Document database configurations, architecture diagrams, DR procedures, and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, errors, and production incidents.

Must-Have Qualifications
