Networking: CCNA certified; familiar with L2/L3 switching concepts
– No real-world switch configuration experience; needed notes to recall show ip interface brief
– Correctly explained classful vs. CIDR/VLSM notation when prompted
Virtualization: configured Type 2 hypervisor (VirtualBox) only; no bare-metal/DC hypervisor access
– Understands VM log checking; confident he can pick up DC-level tools
Cabling: no direct patching or labeling experience; scope at current role restricted to server work
Asset management: uses Inspur’s internal spare parts system; some awareness of DCIM/data hall tools
