What The Role Is
You will join the Economics Division (ECD), which undertakes economic surveillance, forecasting, research and policy analysis to support evidence-based policymaking. ECD’s Resource Centre also supports MTI officers by facilitating access to information resources and providing library and information services.
As an Executive, you will support the informational needs of ECD and MTI officers through a combination of Resource Centre operations, information and library services, basic research-related tasks, and related administrative duties.
What You Will Be Working On
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Resource Centre, including attending to user enquiries, administering loans, returns and reservations, distributing newspapers and facilitating access to information resources.
- Maintain the Resource Centre’s physical collection and premises, including processing new publications, shelving and shelf-reading, liaising with suppliers, and supporting stocktake and collection-weeding exercises.
- Support the management and dissemination of digital content, including uploading publications to the MTI intranet, maintaining SharePoint e-Alerts, preparing electronic direct mailers and circulating relevant information alerts.
- Undertake basic research and information searches to support the work of ECD and other MTI officers.
- Provide administrative support for Resource Centre matters, including maintaining relevant records, updating information for new officers and supporting outreach or engagement activities.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for ECD’s work, including backend coordination, knowledge management, and other operational tasks.
- Work flexibly across information, statistical and administrative functions in response to ECD’s evolving operational and research needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple operational and administrative tasks effectively
- Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work onsite in the office on a daily basis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; familiarity with library operations, information resource management or data management would be an advantage
- A Diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably with at least 2 years of relevant information services, administrative or operational support experience
