Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist supports all HR functions for Snapdragon Stadium, ensuring a positive, compliant, and efficient work environment for a large, dynamic, and seasonal workforce. This role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance with FMLA/CFRA/PDL/ADA, and HR administrative processes related to both year-round and event-based staff. The Generalist is required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on stadium events and will serve as a key point of contact for HR support during all events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters by addressing and resolving initial concerns, providing coaching and guidance to employees and frontline managers. Conduct basic investigations and assist with more complex investigations and related documentation, escalating issues when appropriate.

Foster a positive workplace culture by responding to employee inquiries professionally and confidentially, while supporting the performance management processes in alignment with company policies.

Independently manage day-to-day operations of the Snapdragon HR department in the absence of the Associate HR Director, including oversight of employee relations, staffing support, HR compliance, and coordination with department leaders to ensure continuity of services.

Provide on-site HR support during stadium events—including nights, weekends, and holidays—to assist with staffing needs, address employee concerns, and ensure policy adherence. Coordinate employee check-in and credentialing for event-day staff, as needed.

Oversee the onboarding process by ensuring timely completion of all required documentation. Develop, deliver, and coordinate training on topics such as Responsible Beverage Service (RBS), HR policies, customer service, food safety, workplace conduct, and stadium protocols. Monitor training compliance, maintain accurate records, and report completion rates to leadership.

Support recruitment efforts by coordinating the hiring of employees, including seasonal and part-time staff. Partner with the Staffing Specialist and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and outreach initiatives to build a diverse talent pipeline. In the Staffing Specialist’s absence, assist managers with interview scheduling, onboarding, I9 documentation and New Hire Orientation.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws—including wage and hour regulations, I-9 verification, and EEO requirements. Ensure ongoing compliance with employment, safety, and health laws, as well as company policies.

Supports accurate and confidential maintenance of personnel records and contributes to risk mitigation efforts.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Between 2-4 years of experience in progressive HR experience.

Associates degree Human Resources or equivalent in related field required from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

PHR, SPHR, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills, including facilitation skills and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or related software.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Requires the ability to read and comprehend a variety of informational documentation, procedures and correspondence. Requires the ability to write business correspondence with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar. Must be able to communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Requires the ability to prepare and analyze numerical figures, create and interpret spreadsheets. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail. Requires good analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment.

PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:

Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to operate computers, copy/scan machines, fax machines and other general office equipment. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to walk for extended periods within a stadium environment in inclement weather which may frequently require ascending/descending stairs. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision for extensive reading and document interpretation.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS

Non-event work is regularly performed in a traditional office setting and event day work is generally performed throughout the stadium in an outdoor setting. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to dust, allergens and work temperatures. There may be occasional exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate on non-event days and moderate to loud on event days. Will be exposed to loud noise such as speaker announcements, fireworks, and crowd noise.

The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act pursuant to California Penal Code Section 11166.5.

BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:

A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd.
