Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA standards and site EHS policies.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, JHAs/JSAs and pre-task briefings.
- Knowledge of Monitor high-risk activities, including: Electrical work, arc-flash and LOTO, Working at heights, Confined-space entry, Battery rooms and chemical handling, Generator fuel and hot work
- Material handling and lifting.
- Contractor installation and maintenance work
- Verify permits, worker qualifications, PPE and method statements before work begins.
- Exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions or activities.
- Investigate incidents, injuries and near misses; complete root-cause analysis and track corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA injury records, inspection reports, permits and training documentation.
- Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks and emergency-response drills.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness for fire, electrical incidents, chemical spills and medical emergencies.
- Monitor contractor compliance and escalate repeated or serious violations.
- Report safety performance, recurring risks and overdue corrective actions to management.
- OSHA 30-hour certification—strongly preferred.
- Data center, critical-facility, electrical, construction or industrial safety experience.
- CSP, ASP, CHST, NEBOSH or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of: Lockout/Tagout, Electrical and arc-flash safety, PPE and hazard communication, Fall protection and ladder safety, Hot-work and confined-space controls and
- Emergency response and fire safety
