Staysafe Facilities Limited is actively recruiting for our client Amadeus University a responsible, computer-literate and customer-focused individual to join its Hostel Management/Operations team as a Hostel Portal Officer.
Location: Amizi, Ikwuano Local government Abia state
Work Schedule: Rotational Shift Work
Morning / Afternoon / Night shifts as assigned, including weekends and public holidays where required.
Accommodation
Staff accommodation is NOT provided. Applicants must be able to make their own accommodation and transportation arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the university hostel portal.
- Process student hostel applications, bookings and room allocations.
- Maintain accurate student, room and occupancy records.
- Assist students with hostel portal and accommodation-related enquiries.
- Monitor hostel occupancy and available spaces.
- Report maintenance, security and other hostel-related issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly hostel reports.
- Maintain proper documentation and shift handover records.
- Escalate complaints and operational issues appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with hostel rules and university policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of **OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree** in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, IT, Hospitality Management, Education or a related field.
- 1–2 years’ relevant experience in hostel administration, customer service, school administration, front desk, facility management or a similar role.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in *Microsoft Word and Excel*.
- Experience using online portals or administrative management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle students professionally.
- Must be willing to work *rotational shifts*.
- Must be punctual, reliable and able to work independently.
- Applicants should preferably *reside in or around Amizi, Abia State*, or be able to conveniently commute to the location.
