Summary

The Assistant Human Resources Manager supports the overall Human Resources function while fostering positive relationships with employees, local communities, government stakeholders, traditional village authorities, and educational institutions. The role plays a key part in promoting Alila's values, sustainability culture, and Tri Hita Karana (THK) principles across all HR practices and community engagement activities.

This position assists in talent management, employee relations, recruitment, training, performance management, CSR activities, community partnerships, and THK program implementation to ensure a harmonious relationship between the resort, employees, guests, and surrounding communities.

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day HR operations and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor laws, company policies, and Hyatt/Alila standards.
  • Monitor employee documentation, contracts, work permits, and personnel records.
  • Support payroll preparation and attendance administration in coordination with related departments.
  • Prepare HR reports, analyses, and presentations for management.
  • Support communication of company culture and values throughout the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, Banjar, Desa Adat, village leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent the resort in community meetings and local events when required.
  • Coordinate local recruitment initiatives and strengthen employment opportunities for surrounding communities.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Tri Hita Karana programs.
  • Coordinate THK assessments, audits, and certification requirements.
  • Coordinate CSR programs and volunteer activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within luxury hospitality or international hotel brands.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian labor regulations and HR best practices.
  • Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with local communities and government stakeholders is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Tri Hita Karana principles, sustainability programs, and CSR initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Balinese culture, customs, and local community dynamics is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
