Base Salary: $100,000 – $115,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus opportunities up to 10% of salary. Maximum compensation of up to $1126,500 between base and bonus.

Job Schedule: Full Time, M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Role

As a Human Resources Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture while actively engaging in hands-on HR tasks. Rather than solely directing a team, you will be involved in daily HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and process improvements to ensure a high-functioning and supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive HR leader with deep expertise in both strategic planning and tactical execution. If you thrive on making real-time impact through direct engagement, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee core HR functions, including benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, policy development, and performance management
Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
Act as the first point of contact for employees, fostering strong relationships and handling workplace concerns with fairness and discretion
Ensure HR policies remain compliant with local, state, and federal employment laws and licensure standards (e.g., FMLA, PFML)
Manage and optimize HR systems and vendor relationships (e.g., ADP, LMS, ATS providers)
Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, and compensation trends, using data-driven strategies to improve workplace satisfaction
Provide hands-on support to managers regarding employee relations, corrective actions, coaching, and professional development
Represent the organization in compliance matters (EEOC, unemployment claims, Department of Labor inquiries)
Serve as an active strategic partner to leadership on talent planning, succession planning, DEI initiatives, and culture-building efforts
Spearhead training and development programs, ensuring employees have access to professional growth opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership experience
Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) a plus
Hands-on expertise in organizational design, performance management, employee retention strategies, training, and leadership development
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and LMS systems (ADP experience highly preferred)
