TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Hourly
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: VP HR – Corp Office
COMPENSATION: $22.00 – $25.00
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic region or client. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment and onboarding;
Maintain and update Team Member records in the HRIS;
Compliance with Fair Chance Act;
Process new hires and terminations;
Respond to all EDD and IRS notices;
Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems;
Coordinate performance appraisal processes and provide support to managers and Team Members;
Support Team Member development initiatives and programs;
Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures;
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
Maintain employee files and HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Ability to anticipate needs of applicants, managers and co-workers
Ability to multitask, provide direction, and delegate responsibility (follow up)
Report any liabilities to VP of HR and HR Manger ((harassment, wage and hour compliance, etc.)
Knowledge/Critical Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Three years in HR related role; Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal requirements.
Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills;
Good organizational skills required;
Bilingual (Spanish);
Must possess a California Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to Company risk management and its insurance underwriters.
