Position Summary
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our Care Team! Full-Time shifts, 40 hours a week. As a Medical Receptionist at Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care, you will directly and positively impact the health and well-being of our patients.
Schedule: Rotating 10-hour shifts across 3 metro locations

What You’ll Do
- Serves as the first point of contact for the practice — greeting patients warmly as they arrive and answering all incoming calls to our main front desk line with a friendly, helpful attitude, directing each inquiry to the appropriate team member.
- Schedules, confirms, and manages patient appointments, including returning patient calls as needed, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficient time management.
- Manages patient check-in and check-out.
- Creates patient charts and collects essential documents, including privacy notices, consent forms, IDs, and insurance cards.
- Helps patients understand the basics of our membership model, answering initial questions at the front desk and referring more detailed questions to our Membership Services team.
- Works assigned inboxes daily, responding to patient requests and completing or routing tasks to the appropriate team member.
- Obtains and scans medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Keeps the office clean and welcoming for all patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
