POSITION OUTLINE:

Under the supervision of the Director Donated Goods Retail or assigned store TLC the Operations Trainer Coach (OTC) is responsible for all aspects of the presentation and skill transfer of operational training programs, and responsible for supporting all aspects of operating a store:

Provides on-going operational reporting follow-up for Goodwill assigned DGR leadership and/or MDS team leaders and team members as assigned.
Supports the hiring, training, development, supervision and evaluation of team members within the framework of Goodwill policies and procedures and job descriptions.
Ensures 100% world-class customer service.
Operates the GGC within budgeted expense to revenue ratios and donor value.
Ensures good stewardship of all donations, through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the GGC in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and procedures.
Keeps informed of product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing through comparative shopping of competitors (e.g., full or discount retail, consignment, and second-hand thrift.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-secondary degree in business or related field preferred.
One-year minimum experience as a Primary GGC TLC or ATL
Active Role Model Worker certification
Must be enrolled or successfully completed phase 2 of the Goodwill Leadership Development program.
Minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience in a business (retail) setting preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Must have a reliable means of transportation.
This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems.
Scheduling: Must open the store at least (2) times per week and must close the store at least (2) times per week, on time. This will result in managers opening and closing the store at least (4) days a week.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and privately-owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout Goodwill territory to visit stores and locations as necessary.
