Order Processing Agent Jobs in Elk Grove Village, IL at Forest Packaging Corp.
Location: Currently Elk Grove Village with a move to Elgin in April 2027
Forest Packaging is looking for a detail-oriented Order Processor to join our Customer Service / Operations team. This position is responsible for accurately processing customer orders once a Purchase Order has been received and approved.
The Order Processor ensures orders are entered correctly, all applicable charges are included, and required tooling and print plate orders are generated so jobs can move efficiently into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer POs and approved quotes for accuracy and completeness.
- Enter customer orders accurately into the company’s system.
- Verify quantities, pricing, specifications, delivery requirements, and special instructions.
- Add applicable charges such as tooling, print plates, dies, setup, freight, and special handling.
- Generate and track Purchase Orders for tooling, dies, print plates, and other job requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information before orders are released to production.
- Communicate with Sales, Customer Service, Design, Production, Purchasing, and Shipping as needed.
- Follow up on outstanding approvals, information, tooling, and plates to prevent production delays.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer and job records.
Qualifications
- Previous order processing, customer service, manufacturing administration, or similar experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with computer systems and ERP/order-entry software.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders, quotes, and job specifications.
- Manufacturing or packaging experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, catching discrepancies before they become problems, and communicating effectively with multiple departments.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
