About the Opportunity: The Patient Procedure Scheduler is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely scheduling of interventional procedures and surgeries. This role coordinates with physicians, staff, and patients to manage appointments and resources, directly contributing to a smooth patient experience and operational effectiveness. The position is key to meeting performance and service targets while supporting clinical and patient care teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians, schedulers, and staff to schedule interventional procedures
  • Coordinate pre- and post-surgical appointments with patients and ancillary departments
  • Schedule procedures and surgeries following preapproved guidelines
  • Enter procedure and surgery information; update physicians on schedules
  • Manage scheduling conflicts related to time and equipment availability
  • Communicate schedule changes to patients promptly
  • Schedule anesthesia for surgeries as required
  • Provide patients with instructions and set expectations for upcoming procedures
  • Deliver pre-appointment instructions, directions, and messages according to protocol
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and appropriate manner

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Professional communication with patients, visitors, and co-workers
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and challenging situations
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and selected software applications
  • Completion of Cadence Scheduling system training

Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
