About the Role

PT Kapit Mas, a jewelry manufacturing and trading company based in Bali, is looking for a Payroll/Compensation & Benefits Officer to join our Human Capital & General Affairs team. Reporting to the HC Manager, this role owns the end-to-end payroll process across both weekly and monthly salary cycles, from data collection and recapitulation through to coordination with FAT for payment execution, and serves as the anchor for accurate, timely, and compliant compensation administration.

The role is also the primary touchpoint between Human Capital & General Affairs and the Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT) team, ensuring payroll data flows accurately and on time for tax reporting, reconciliation, and financial closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full payroll cycle for both weekly-paid and monthly-paid employees, including piecework (borongan) compensation
  • Collect, verify, and recapitulate attendance, overtime, and output data from Production and other functions as the basis for salary calculation
  • Calculate wages, overtime, allowances, and benefits, and execute salary payments accurately and on schedule
  • Process statutory and internal deductions (BPJS contributions, employee loans/kasbon, and other authorized deductions) with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Administer BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan registration, contributions, and reporting
  • Serve as HC & GA's liaison to the FAT team: provide accurate and timely payroll data as supporting input for tax reporting, reconcile payroll data against financial records, and support monthly closing
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and compliance purposes
  • Maintain compensation records and ensure strict confidentiality of all salary data
  • Address employee inquiries related to pay and benefits
  • Support periodic review of compensation structure, allowances, and benefits programs
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with Indonesian labor regulations and internal policy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Management, HR, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in payroll / compensation & benefits, preferably in a manufacturing or jewelry-related industry with mixed payment cycles
  • Strong command of Excel (payroll recapitulation, cross-checking, formulas) and strong numerical/analytical ability
  • Working knowledge of BPJS administration and Indonesian labor regulations
  • Experience handling payroll deductions and reconciliation with attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • High integrity in handling sensitive and confidential data
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo is a plus)
