Rainbow Agric Rustenburg Planning Department is recruiting for a candidate to assist the Supply Planner in developing and preparing short and long term regional Agric supply plans.

BIM Module – Brood & Lay

• Investigate variances between Mtech data and house charts and/or physical inventory sheets and correct where applicable.
• Compile and distribute weekly reports to relevant managers using Mtech standard reports and / or the Agric BI Cube.

HIM Module – Hatcheries

• Investigate variances between Mtech data and operational reports and correct where applicable.
• Compile and distribute weekly reports to relevant managers using Mtech standard reports and / or the Agric BI Cube

BRIM Module – Broilers

• Investigate variances between Mtech data and house charts and/or physical inventory sheets and correct where applicable.
• Compile and distribute weekly reports to relevant managers using Mtech standard reports and/or the Agric BI Cube.

Supply Planning – Short Term

• Fully understand how the broiler age, bell curve and weight ranges impacts product mix and processing KPI’s.
• Daily best view outlook on forecasted ALM for birds on the ground, once latest test weights is received. This should be done in conjunction with Agric operational managers on growth of the birds and test weights relative to standard performance curves.
• Challenge inaccuracy of test weights based on final ALM delivered to the processing plant with regional Agric Executive and operational team. Ensure pro-active measures are implemented for more accurate test weights and ultimately forcasted weights.
• Manage and ensure the accuracy of the feed volume projections for future placements and birds on the ground using the FDSA module on Mtech. Check and distribute weekly feed requirement reports per ration type to the regional Feed Mill Customer Service Planner.

Operations Planning

• Develop the regional supply plan that will be used as input into the national Agricultural plan for quarterly forecasting and annual target setting process. This will be a forward view for up to 18 months at any given time.
• Provide input into the weekly agricultural and processing planning meetings. Highlight risks ito bird volumes, ALM and age.
• Identify gaps and opportunities and make appropriate recommendations to close these.
• Be actively involved in preparing the necessary information for discussion at the weekly agricultural and processing meetings, specifically challenging or recommending changes to plans and where risks may occur.

Supply Chain Reporting

• Understand the variances against targets for key KPI's and review medium term forecasted KPI’s with Agricultural executive. This will include hatchability, broiler mortality, feed conversion ratio (FCR), average daily gain (ADG) and slaughter age.

Information and Data Management

• Ensure team members accurately capture data into Mtech on a daily basis and any shared spreadsheets to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
• Conduct regular audits on data to ensure accuracy of inventory reported a monthly basis before month end closure.
• Ensure all master data is 100% accurate in planning tools.
• Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.

Administration

• Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within area of responsibility.
• Compile ad hoc spreadsheets when required.
• Attend meetings as and when required

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge:Administration
• Background in finance; procurement or logistics
• Skills:Computer literacy (intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel)
• Planning, co-ordination and allocation of resources
• Communication (verbal, written and numeric) and sound interaction with lower; middle and senior management
• Problem solving
