Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Junior Buyer will be responsible for assisting the Buyers with the administrative tasks of the purchasing department.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:
Purchase Order Management:
Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and related documentation. Track the status of orders and ensure timely delivery. Supplier
Communication
:
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues that may arise. Maintain and update supplier information.
Inventory Management
:
Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts. Assist in the ordering of supplies and materials. Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and
up-to-date
records of procurement activities. Enter data into procurement systems and databases. Administrative Support:
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to procurement. Prepare reports and presentations as needed. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Performs other duties as required. Candidate Qualifications
Education
/
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a related industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Knowledge and experience with ERP systems is preferred.
