POSITION INTRODUCTORY:
Responsible for purchasing materials, components, equipment, and services to support production operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Procurement Operations
- Source and purchase materials, spare parts, tools, and services required for production.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely deliveries.
2. Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to ensure best value.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and negotiate terms.
- Handle supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or invoicing.
3. Cost Management & Negotiation
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyse market trends and raw material costs to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Work to reduce procurement costs without compromising on quality.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor contracts.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to procurement.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with production planning, quality control, and finance teams.
- Provide timely updates on material availability to the production team.
- Support in managing procurement aspects of new product development (NPD) or project launches.
6. Reporting
- Prepare procurement reports for management (e.g., cost analysis, savings report, PO status).
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery, purchase cost variance, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Analytical thinking and cost awareness.
