Role Description This full-time Reporter role at Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji is an on-site position based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Reporter is responsible for identifying newsworthy developments related to hajj financial management, conducting interviews with key stakeholders, and gathering accurate information from multiple sources. Daily tasks include writing clear and timely news articles, preparing reports for internal and external audiences, and collaborating with editorial and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging. The role also involves producing multimedia content where required, attending press conferences and official events, and adhering to institutional guidelines, journalistic ethics, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong reporting skills, including the ability to gather, verify, and synthesize information from diverse sources.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities, with clear, concise, and audience-appropriate language.
- Demonstrated news writing experience, including crafting headlines, leads, and structured articles under tight deadlines.
- Basic to intermediate multimedia skills, such as handling audio, video, or digital tools to support news coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of media ethics, public sector reporting, and financial or regulatory topics is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Jakarta, collaborate within cross-functional teams, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and strong reading and writing skills in English are beneficial.
