Role Description The Reservations Agent is a full-time, on-site role based at Dusit Princess Melaka in the Melaka Tengah District. The role involves handling room reservations via phone, email, and online channels, ensuring accurate data entry and timely confirmations. The Reservations Agent responds to guest inquiries about room types, rates, packages, and hotel facilities, while offering suitable options to maximize guest satisfaction and occupancy. Daily responsibilities include updating reservation systems, coordinating with the front office and other departments, and monitoring booking changes, cancellations, and special requests. The role also entails maintaining professional communication standards, following hotel policies and procedures, and supporting a smooth guest journey from initial inquiry through arrival.
Qualifications
- Strong reservations and booking management skills, including accuracy in data entry and familiarity with hotel reservation systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Professional phone etiquette and experience with receptionist or front office duties in a hospitality or customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work on-site full time in the Melaka Tengah District, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple reservations and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills (such as Malay, Mandarin, or other regional languages) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in hotel reservations, front office, or hospitality operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic computer literacy, including use of email, office applications, and property management or reservation systems.
