Job Role
Ringway is recruiting a Scheduler to join our Milton Keynes highways contract team. This is a key coordination role within the contract, supporting the effective planning, scheduling, and delivery of highway maintenance works across the area.
Working closely with operational teams and the client, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate work schedules, managing enquiries, and ensuring works are planned and resourced efficiently to meet service requirements.
Duties
- Create, coordinate, maintain, and communicate works schedules and permits across the contract
- Manage enquiries received from Milton Keynes City Council
- Input requests into systems, raise jobs, and allocate work to site operatives and gangs
- Request permits and schedule works in line with programme requirements
- Support the management of 2-hour and 24-hour emergency requests
- Liaise closely with operational teams to ensure timely delivery of works
- Provide general administrative support to other teams across the Milton Keynes contract
You’ll be part of a small, collaborative scheduling and coordination team, reporting into the Scheduling Manager.
Person Specification
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Enthusiastic, well-organised, and proactive
- IT-literate and confident using multiple systems
- Adaptable and open to learning new systems and processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience in highways, street works, permitting, or coordination/administration roles
- Previous experience working in a scheduling, planning, or operational support role
No formal qualifications or driving licence are required for this position.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time – 40 – Monday to Friday
