Headquartered in Norwalk, Ohio, we also operate facilities in Toledo, Columbus, and Fremont, Indiana—each playing a vital role in our growing network. Our newest state-of-the-art facility, located just south of Hilliard (West Columbus, OH), began bun production in 2025 with a cutting-edge line capable of producing over 8,000 dozen hamburger buns per hour. We are also scheduled to begin producing pancakes this year, further expanding our capabilities and product offerings.

Our sister company, New Horizons Food Solutions, focuses on innovative ingredient manufacturing. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $120,000-$130,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Summary:
New Horizons Baking Company is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee HR operations across five manufacturing facilities, four located in Ohio and one in Indiana. This critical leadership role will provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all human resources functions, including labor relations, employee engagement, talent development, compensation, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with strong union labor relations experience, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the HR function across all facilities, aligning HR strategies with business objectives to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Directly manage and develop the Director of HR and the Director of Benefits and Compensation, fostering a high-performance, result-driven HR team.
Provide leadership and guidance on labor relations matters in unionized environments, including collective bargaining, grievance resolution, contract compliance, and union negotiations.
Partner with plant leadership to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and retention initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Oversee compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent while maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness.
Drive initiatives related to organizational culture, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Travel regularly between plant locations to maintain a visible leadership presence and provide on-site HR support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certificate (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or multi-site leadership role.
Strong experience in union environments, including collective bargaining and labor relations strategy.
Proven ability to lead through influence and manage cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently between facilities in Ohio and Indiana.
