SMEI Projects is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our production team.
The STRUMIS Processing and Nesting Administrator is responsible for validating detailing information, processing fabrication work orders, generating optimized nesting plans, and producing machine-ready manufacturing data for all pre-fabrication workstations. The role ensures that engineering information complies with company detailing standards, maximizes material utilisation, supports efficient production scheduling, and provides accurate production reporting throughout the pre-fabrication process.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔️ Validate detailing information and ensure compliance with company standards
✔️ Generate STRUMIS manufacturing work orders
✔️ Produce optimised nesting plans for CNC manufacturing equipment
✔️ Maximise material utilisation and minimise waste
✔️ Support production planning and manufacturing workflow
✔️ Generate accurate, machine-ready production data for all pre-fabrication workstations
✔️ Maintain production records and provide manufacturing reports
What We’re Looking For
✅ Strong knowledge of structural steel sections, plate products, and steel grades
✅ Good understanding of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes
✅ Experience with Tekla Structures will be advantageous
✅ STRUMIS experience is not required – comprehensive training will be provided
✅ Experience with nesting software such as SigmaNEST or similar will be beneficial
✅ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
✅ Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities
✅ Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
