Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible to performs various technical activities in support of Tool Room; preventive and/or corrective maintenance, as well as operating the machining tools and equipment with appropriate safety equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform routine equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment.
- Store machine tools and equipment in tool store area and record location in MRP system.
- Store spare machine tools and equipment and record location in MRP system.
- Supply tool room with spare equipment.
- Facilitate purchasing requisitions for the Tool Store.
- Completes all check requests for the department refer to the process plan.
- Input/track purchase requisitions, purchase orders and check requests.
- Track tools repairs and warranties with vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintain the Tool Crib parts catalog to current inventory.
- Prepare tools for upcoming machine operations as requested by Tool Setter.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; and six months to one-year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job related certifications.
