Overview
The Total Rewards Benefit Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting an organization’s workforce by overseeing the development, implementation, and management of all Benefit Programs. This role ensures the organization’s Benefit Programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant with all legal regulations, while also enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and analyze benefits strategies that align with organizational goals.
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure benefit and compensation offerings.
Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, executive benefits, and wellness initiatives.
Ensure all Total Rewards Benefit Programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare and analyze reports on Total Rewards trends, costs, and benefits utilization.
Work closely with HR leadership to align benefits strategies with overall HR initiatives.
Facilitate workshops to educate employees about available benefits options.
Liaise with external vendors and consultants for benefits management and compensation analysis.
Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility.
Enroll employees with benefit carriers and processes qualifying life events.
Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
Oversee and act as the main point of contact during the open enrollment process.
Ensure new plans and deductions are entered into the HRIS.
Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, compensation, and applicable laws.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working understanding of ACA and Insurance laws.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
HRIS experience required – ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
Licensure/Certifications/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
CEBS a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of benefits design/benchmarking experience required.
