Job Description
The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for implementing total rewards related processes and projects. The Total Rewards Specialist effectively supports total rewards related systems and projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Administers employee benefits programs such as 403 (b), medical dental, vision, life/AD&D, leaves of absences from inception to closure, disability, tuition reimbursement and any ancillary plans which may be offered to the employee population.
Maintains compensation programs, onboarding programs and benefits programs, including but not limited to benefits open enrollment events.
Communicates total reward programs to employees to promote the company’s commitments to employees’ wellbeing and ensure understanding.
Assists Manager and Director to educate employees to promote company benefits as needed.
Collaborates with the HRIS team to ensure system is accurate and reports are being run in a timely manner and relevant file feeds to/from carriers are timely and accurate.
Establishes and maintains a report/deduction audit schedule to proactively catch any inaccuracies or feed issues before they become widespread and problematic.
Handles benefit inquires to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution.
Serve as point of contact and support to HR Business Partners for all total rewards.
Oversees the end to end onboarding process for new hires, ensuring timely execution and seamless workflow.
Collects and processes new employee paperwork, including contracts and compliance documents.
Acts as the primary point of contact for new employees, answering questions and providing assistance throughout their onboarding jouney.
Assesses the effectiveness of onboarding processes and makes recommendations for improvements to enhance the overall experience.
Manages the employee transfer process.
Education
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, human resources, social sciences, or related field required.
Experience
Ten years’ experience in compensation, benefits, or human resources related field required.
Qualifications
Knowledge of human resources regulations required.
Excellent computer knowledge with prior MS Office experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Excellent judgment skills regarding organizational needs and ability to communicate effectively on a wide range of levels required.
Accurate attention to details required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
Ability to apply a broad knowledge of total rewards concepts, to multi-task, keeping several projects and processes moving forward while maintaining a high level of data integrity and system awareness.
Ability to deal with change and ambiguity in a fast paced and innovative environment.
