Responsibilities
Responsible for providing analytical and administrative support for the Trade Compliance Program and ensuring the business stays compliant with international trade regulations, including export and import controls, customs laws, and sanctions
- Support the Senior Trade Compliance and Automation Manager and the Trade Compliance team in various activities and projects.
- Administer and maintain the Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and forms to ensure the company’s compliance with import / export laws and regulations and best practices.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain applicable U.S., APAC region, and other country Government authorizations as needed.
- Screen, review, and resolve restricted and denied party screening transactions using a third-party screening tool
- Administer and maintain records of Trade Compliance transactions including: data entry, organizing and saving documents, and closeout of documents in the system to adhere to regulatory and company Record Keeping requirements.
- Review, action, and evaluate accuracy for the following transactions: visitor requests, sales orders, end user statements, export shipments and documentation, international transactions, open jobs reports, export-controlled positions, and other Trade Compliance transactions as needed.
- Coordinate with HR and applicable management to maintain Technology Control Plans for sites and employees
- Evaluate product information to determine the jurisdiction and classification and tariff classification of items, data, and software based on U.S., APAC region, and other country regulations
- Coordinate with global sites to ensure that transfers of items, data, and software comply with U.S., APAC region, and applicable country export laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
- Support various automation projects and initiatives, such as: visitor management system, automated denied party screening, ERP system, CRM system, export shipments system, and others as needed
- Provide training to applicable employees, update and maintain training materials and records, and coordinate with Document Control and designees at applicable sites to save the training records
- Coordinate with internal customers and respond to inquiries related to Trade Compliance matters at U.S., APAC region, and global sites
- Conduct assessments of Trade Compliance activity and assist in applicable audits, assessments, and investigations

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field highly desired.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Trade Compliance desired.
- Knowledge of U.S. Trade Regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, OFAC, Customs) and APAC region trade regulations strongly desired.
- Experience interfacing with Government agencies (e.g., DOS, DOC, Customs, MITI, MTI, Ministry of Trade, etc.) desired.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite required. Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CoPilot preferred.
- Familiarity with OCR EASE or similar denied party screening tool a plus.
- Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work required.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the business language (English).
