About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator/Admin to join our team and support Australian construction, building, and shopfitting clients. This is a permanent remote role ideal for an experienced estimating professional with strong expertise in reading construction plans and drawings, M2-rate estimating, and construction programming.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, building out construction programs, and coordinating projects end-to-end — communicating directly with clients, project managers, trades, site managers, and landlords/incumbent contractors to keep estimates and on-site execution aligned. This position is well suited for someone analytical, organized, and confident managing multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy under industry pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret construction plans/drawings to produce accurate cost estimates
  • Estimate project costs using M2 rates when provided
  • Draw up construction programs, including trade on-site dates, pre-start/commencement dates, and handover schedules
  • Coordinate and run projects, communicating directly with clients to confirm scope and ensure estimates reflect accurate project detail
  • Liaise with project managers, trades, site managers, landlords, and incumbent contractors throughout the estimating and project lifecycle
  • Drive pre-start requirements, including site inductions
  • Manage multiple jobs and estimates concurrently, prioritizing effectively under deadline pressure
  • Maintain accurate estimating and administrative records across Excel and accounting systems
  • Track project timelines against construction programs and flag scheduling risks proactively
  • Prepare and update cost breakdowns and estimate documentation for internal and client review
  • Support internal staff with accurate estimation data to inform project decisions
  • Respond promptly to client and trade queries related to estimates and project scheduling
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies between plans/drawings and on-site requirements
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records of estimates, correspondence, and program revisions
  • Contribute to process improvements in estimating and project-coordination workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to estimate using M2 rates when provided

  • Proven ability to run and coordinate projects, including direct client communication
