The Materials Specialist is responsible for supporting warehouse and materials management activities to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, control, movement, and availability of materials required to support operational requirements. The role supports inventory control, materials administration, ERP data management, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to Company procedures, regulatory requirements, and QHSSE standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and maintain inventory accuracy, control, and optimization, including stock counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Monitor excess, obsolete, surplus, and slow-moving inventory and support inventory reduction and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support ERP/materials management systems, including material master data accuracy and material catalogue standardization.
  • Drive and support process improvements, best practices, and continuous improvement across warehouse and materials management activities.
  • Provide materials support to onshore and offshore operations, ensuring material availability, tracking, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, QHSSE, Finance, and vendors to ensure effective materials management.
  • Prepare inventory and materials management reports and provide support for operational planning and materials readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, QHSSE requirements, and audit standards, including follow-up and closure of audit findings.
  • Identify and escalate inventory, compliance, and operational risks to the Lead Materials.
  • Contribute to a strong safety, compliance, and continuous improvement culture.

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / RELEVENT EXPERIENCE

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Materials Management, Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in offshore drilling, oil & gas, marine, or industrial operations is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in inventory, warehouse & logistics management.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of QHSSE, compliance, audit, and records management.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
