Position Overview

The Senior IT Engineer will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day IT operations with a primary focus on user lifecycle management in Google Workspace, Keycloak administration, IT asset inventory, laptop procurement, and work‑order processing. This role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience and the ability to operate independently while supporting the MEA CIO organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. User Lifecycle Management

  • Create, update, and deactivate user accounts in Google Workspace.
  • Manage user access, groups, and organizational units.
  • Handle Keycloak user creation, role assignments, and access troubleshooting.
  • Ensure alignment between HR onboarding/offboarding and IT processes.

2. IT Asset Management & Inventory

  • Maintain accurate inventory of laptops, peripherals, and IT equipment.
  • Track asset lifecycle, warranty, and assignment to users.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tagging of all devices.

3. Procurement & Work Orders

  • Manage laptop purchasing requests and coordinate with vendors.
  • Prepare and process work orders for IT equipment and services.
  • Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and ensure cost‑effective procurement.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards.

4. IT Operations & Support

  • Provide L2 technical support for laptops, OS, and standard applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Google Workspace and Keycloak access.
  • Support onboarding of new hires (accounts, devices, setup).
  • Coordinate with global IT teams when required.

5. Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain updated SOPs covering user creation, procurement workflows, and inventory management processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal IT governance, audit requirements, and corporate IT policies.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory, including license tracking, lifecycle management, and assignment records.
  • Prepare periodic reports on IT assets, procurement status, user lifecycle activities, and operational performance.
  • Provide regular reporting on incidents, service performance, and opportunities for process improvement.

6.Team Leadership

  • Act as a senior technical reference for junior engineers.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to the team.
  • Support onboarding and training of new IT staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT operations or service delivery.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Google Workspace Admin Console.
  • Working knowledge of Keycloak (realms, roles, user management).
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement workflows.
  • Good understanding of laptops (Windows/macOS), imaging, and configuration.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Google Workspace Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent
  • Any cloud or identity‑related certification is a plus
